January Classes/Events
Knitting in the Round (Part two: Fingerless Mittens)
In this two session class you will be knitting in the round on double pointed needles. In these two classes I will walk you through how to knit fingerless mittens.$50
Skills needed:
You need to already know how to cast on, knit, and purl.
Materials:
Sundays, January 8th, and 15th
1:00-3:30 PM
Learn to knit
This class starts at the very beginning. You will learn the basics of yarn and needles as well as how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off (everything you need to get started). You will also learn how to create a few different stitch patterns using knit and purl stitches. The class is made up of 3 sessions. Each session is 1.5 hours long. This class is limited to 4 students, so don’t wait to sign up. $45

Social Knit Night
Grab your knitting, crochet, needlepoint, cross stitch, or other hand craft and head on over to Mariah Amine Couture. The third Friday of each month from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Hang out, socialize, and make some progress on those projects. Everyone welcome! Friday, January 20th 6:00-8:00 PM Intro to lace knitting Have you knitted a million plain scarves and want to make your work a little more interesting? This class will introduce you to lace knitting. You will learn the basic stitches used in lace and get started on a lace scarf. Don’t let the word lace scare you, this pattern is made from worsted weight yarn and is knitted on size 8 needles. The class is 2.5 hours long. Class limited to 6 students. $30 Skills needed: You need to already know how to cast on, cast off, knit, and purl.

Cabled Scarf Class
In this class you will learn the basic cable stitches and how to follow a cable chart. You will then have time to start your scarf and ask any questions you have while working on the project? $30 Skills needed: You need to already know how to cast on, cast off, knit, and purl.

- One skein Flock Bransonas 60% wool, 40% silk yarn $25 (Please note that if you take both parts of this class you only need 1 skein total, both the hat and the fingerless mittens can be worked from one skein)
- Size 5, Double pointed knitting needles (We do not sell Double pointed needle, so you will need to buy these elsewhere.)
- Stitch markers
